The Chuck Wagon Supper Show-Lakeside, AZ

The Chuck Wagon Supper SHOW begins on July 2 and runs through Sep 5. We have a great show planned as well as a great supper. The prices are $22 for adults and $12 for children. Children 3 and under are free. You get a 10% discount if you make and pay for reservations at our website: www.chuckwagonaz.com.
We would like to invite you to bring your family, church or civic group up to Lakeside, Arizona for the day - or the weekend - and enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery, cool summer weather and, of course, a chuck wagon supper show that will fill your belly and tickle your funny bone.
We are proud to provide a wholesome and thoroughly enjoyable entertainment choice which is appropriate for the whole family!
Once again, we are planning a wonderful variety show which will include some singing, some picking, some comedy and even a little trick shooting. That's right, we are gonna have Felicity do a quick draw and shoot balloons out of Billy Ray Hay Bail's hands!
Get with your family and/or church group and plan an unforgettable trip up to Lakeside this summer. I know you will not be disappointed! See you there.

KSMU YOUTH IN BLUEGRASS CONTEST

The 2009 KSMU Youth in Bluegrass Contest was held at Silver Dollar City in Branson on May 23 and 24 at the Opera House Theater. There were 19 bands from all over the United States. The Bost Family Traditions scored 410/500 points and came in 6th place.
The most striking facet of the competition was how GOOD these young folks are. I would say that many of the best young musicians in America were on the stage. Our whole family was just overwhelmed by the quality of musician we saw.
Given the quality of the competition, I can say without reservation that I am very proud of the Bost Family Traditions. They put on a great performance for a capacity crowd.
We also made a lot of new friends. As a general rule, the folks competing in the contest were friendly and congenial. SDC sponsored a pizza party/jam on Saturday night so the young folks could socialize. My hat is off to D.A. Callaway for organizing a great event.
The competition was a great experience and we hope to compete again in two years.

Family Update - June 2009

Dear Friends,
I'm writing to you from Alamosa, Colorado. The mountains are still capped with snow and the weather is cool. We are overjoyed having just left Oklahoma and 100+ degrees of high humidity. We are looking forward to spending the rest of June in Colorado, cooling off and seeing many old friends.
Micah has done a great job driving this past month. He piloted the van all the way to Branson and now back to Colorado without a mishap. He finished his first semester of college. He is planning to take the summer off from academics and concentrate on the churck wagon supper show.
Faith and Liberty are both in the Alamosa Walmart. They are happier than pigs in a mud waller. Faith was having Walmart withdrawals while we were laid over at Santa Rosa, NM a couple of days. Santa Rosa is a nice town but there is no Walmart.
Felicity and Charity are well and always up to something new. We took them to Foss Lake in Oklahoma to spend the day in the water and beat the heat. Charity was not in the lake five minutes before she saw a little green water snake. She nearly "walked on the water" she jumped so high. No worries though. William was ready, willing and able to protect the ladies from the monster snake. He even put his head underwater!
Jon is doing a great job and we have discovered that he really enjoys water too. It rained for several days at Silver Dollar City in Branson - but that did not stop Jon from jumping in every puddle and standing under ever roof drain. He stayed soaked.
Pamela and I are both well and grateful for all our friends and family who help us on our way. Darrell & Nimra Rhoden put up with us (put us up) for almost ten days at Springfield, MO. John & Sherry Cooper helped us out at Silver Dollar City. We had a great time experiencing genuine Missouri Mexican food! We couldn't do it without the kindness and hospitality of our friends. Thanks!
Did I mention that Brooklyn was married on June 8? Have a look at the article later in the newletter to get all the details! Till we see you again, we pray you have a great summer season. With all our love and affection.
